Community Partners

Ntaria School

The project was enabled by a strongly cooperative relationship between the research team, Wendy Cowan, Ntaria School teacher, and the School administration. The School provided the access and support for the Western Sydney University team to work with the students who were available for collaboration with our intended research case. 

Ntaria School provided a space for students to work closely with elders to share cultural knowledge. Students engaged in intergenerational learning and worked towards achieving performance goals, whilst simultaneously broadening their horizons and networks  through connection to working professionals, institutions, places, and projects.

Together we were able to satisfy the goals we had – learning experiences and outcomes for the School; and an entirely new departure for bringing knowledge from the archive to the community.
