The City of Parramatta opened the first stage of the new Parramatta Square (PSQ) precinct’s public domain in April 2020. The public domain of PSQ is meant to welcome all, and this is a challenge when there is a diversity of people and interests sharing PSQ: workers, restaurant diners, students, residents, and tourists. The studio worked with the PSQ Place Manager who was very keen to be creative with how we laid the “ground rules” with the aim of identifying ways that Council could demonstrate that everyone is truly welcome at PSQ, especially young people.
