Roger Dawkins portraitDr Roger Dawkins is a Lecturer in Digital and Social Media and is mildly obsessed with pointing out (in students’ work—and sometimes colleagues’ Emails) inCorrect usage of Capital Letters. Roger has worked in digital marketing, content strategy and search engine optimisation. His current research interests at Western Sydney University include ethics, semiotics and social media, learning analytics and, of course, capital letters. You can read more about Roger here.

Milissa Deitz portraitDr Milissa Deitz lectures in communication, digital media and creative writing at Western Sydney University. Milissa’s book Watch this Space: The Future of Australian Journalism (2010) was published by Cambridge University Press. Her novel Bloodlust and non-fiction title My Life as a Side Effect are both published by Random House. Her research and scholarly interests include grief, identity and family; voice and the marginalised within digital storytelling (The Right To Know: 100 Years of the Australian Red Cross International Tracing Service, Immigration Museum, Melbourne 2015); and young people, wellbeing and technology (www.invisiblecity.org.au). Navin Doloswala portraitDr Navin Doloswala is a teaching academic in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts.  He has been developing and coordinating the teaching in the areas (and units) of Media Cultures and Industries, Data Mediation Power, and Media Memory.  The approach he takes in his teaching is focused on creative practice – in other words, using creative practice as an approach to learning about the dynamics of the media environment and theory. Rachel Morley portraitDr Rachel Morley is a Lecturer in Writing and Communication Arts. Before she joined Western Sydney University she was an original member of the slashie generation, working variously as a journalist, community arts worker, photographer, publicist, art model, waiter and writer. She now teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in creative writing, networked writing cultures, and media studies. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to student learning and is a keen researcher, working variously across the field of ageing and creativity, digital storytelling, literary and creative practices (especially life writing), networked media studies, and more recently gaming for social change.
